Iâd really like to avoid her entirely the next morning. I just swore it was behind us, but Iâve already jerked off twice thinking about it. Except sheâs doing her best to act like things are normalâfrom the kitchen thereâs the sizzle of bacon, the crack of an egg breaking open against a bowlâso the least I can do is sit down and pretend alongside her.
I emerge from my room. Sheâs wearing jeans and a hoodie instead of that fucking T-shirt that reveals a lot most of the time and nearly everything at the best of times, as if I canât be trusted.
Sheâs right. I canât.
I took advantage of someone too vulnerable to know what the hell she was doing and enjoyed every fucking second of it. If she gave me a single come hither look, I guarantee Iâd take advantage of it all over again.
I pull out a chair at the counter. âYouâre fully clothed.â
She gives me an overly bright smile. âI know how irresistible I am. I figured I should tone down the magnificence.â
Thereâs a burning in my gutâguilt and rage both. Iâm not a fucking animal.
Except with her...I sort of am.
I take the plate sheâs just set on the counter and pull it toward me. âYou have nothing to fear. You know meâone and done.â
The smile doesnât leave her face, but it dims a little, and I wish I hadnât said it.
She grabs the spatula tightly, and I shove half the breakfast sandwich sheâs made in my mouth, remembering that same hand in my hair last night. The way she gripped it hard as she came. I wasnât even inside her yet and I was worried I might fucking explode just listening to her moan.
I wince. Stop thinking about it.
âAre you okay?â she asks. Jesus Christ, sheâs treating me like some lovesick young pup sheâs got to let down easy.
My eyes open. âIâm fine.â The words are barked, angrier than I intended.
She bites her lip, a flicker of concern in her eyes. âDo you wantââ
I push away from the counter. âIâm going in early,â I tell her, grabbing the other half of the sandwich. âThanks for breakfast.â
Iâm making the situation worse. The way I always do.
The way she does, too.
Thereâs no way this will end well.
